Two New Acrylic Paintings on Wood Box Frames

I have 2 new whimsical bird paintings that I’ve painted on wood box frames. They are 11″ x 8″ with 4″ deep sides.  These have been a popular format and I love painting on wood. They’re very versatile too. You can hang them on the wall, put them on a book shelf or end table or even on a window sill.

I like the way the image wraps around all 4 sides too. To create the nest I used  white marks over layered colors of blue, purple, red and green. Then I tinted the white with a pinkish color. I really like the look of it.

The colors remind me of Spring! I must have warmer weather on my mind.

I really liked the pink tint. But then, the whole nest – and the bird, and the tree, and the sky – and the fishes dancing and the light all over everything, and the color. Yes, I am hopelessly addicted to your work.
