Whimsical Peace Tree Paintings

This time of year is a reminder to me to hold Peace in my thoughts and prayers for others and the planet. I’ve been feeling the peace and quiet around our house because we have lots of snow in the yard. It feels quiet and still in the morning.

Peace has been on my mind lately.

I find it very peaceful to look at the snowy trees.

I hope it snows some more because it feels peaceful to watch it fall. Especially those big, fluffy flakes.

I’ve been sending peaceful thoughts out into the world. Peace. Maybe that is why I’ve decided it is a good name for my whimsical aspen trees in my Magical Woodlands series. I like the name. Peace trees.

Peaceful and joyful and their colorful tattooed bark radiates happiness.

And I made some bookmarks using the images from a few of my Peace Tree mini paintings.

You can purchase bookmarks in my Etsy Shop.

I made some magnets too. Made from the individual squares that are featured on the bookmarks. I love them. I can never have too many magnets on my fridge.

So I decided to give some away as a free gift when you buy 3 bookmarks up until Dec. 8th from my Etsy Shop. You get to pick which magnet you would like. Fun!

I hope you’ll get some of my Bookmarks to use as stocking stuffers or a small gift for the readers in your life or even get some for yourself.

I just love making things with my artwork. What have you been making lately?

Peace to you.

Thank you for the comments. Sure do appreciate it.

Kristen, To answer your question about one bookmark and one magnet…. I could do a special reserved listing for you in my Etsy Shop. Let me know which bookmark and which image for the magnet. Magnets are $2.00 ea. or 3 magnets for $5. Maybe I’ll go create a listing for them in general. I didn’t know if anyone would want to get some but it is worth listing some now that I’ve made a bunch. I sure think they’re cute.

What a strange coincidence – I happen to love it when you make things out of your work, too. It is interesting how the trees, with their base neutral aspen/birchy slender, whitish nature, carry their bits of color like a celebration. And the dark figures with them – ravens, bikes, generate a cheerful energy against that more peaceful grace. But it’s really the actual round glow of your background colors, Lindy, that speak so warmly – almost a motherly comfort – like nature speaks through you and reassures the human-disturbed heart.

Keep working forever. Your joy should be sent out with your peaceful thoughts. And I don’t understand why you ever wander – when you have such a place to live as you do. (but knowing you, I do understand really)

I love them! But, nothing new about that, I love everything you create. Like you, I enjoy looking out at the snow, these bitterly cold temperatures we are having lately, I could do without!
